ABOUT THE ROLE

The Admissions Manager (Korean Liaison) is responsible for driving the growth of student recruitment, prioritising of Korean students through Korean community engagements and communications to the prospective student families. This role ensures a personalized and professional admissions experience for every family, supporting the school's mission and values. The Admissions Manager (Korean Liaison) is also expected to contribute to building a positive parent-school relationship during the admissions journey and early stages of enrollment.

To successfully drive Korean student enrollments by:

  • Driving Korean community engagements and daily communications
  • Delivering a high-quality, customer-centric admissions experience.
  • Supporting enrollment-related marketing, activities, projects and events
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to achieve enrollment targets.

To provide support and admission consultation to families from other backgrounds besides Korean ones.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Admissions Planning & Recruitment

  • Working with the Admissions Director to develop strategic and implementation planning for reaching out to prospective parents as per the target and budget allowed.
  • Develop strong relationships and serve as the key point of contact with Korean corporate partners, agencies, and prospective families to enhance the brand and growth in Korean student enrollments.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform planning and outreach and recommendation as needed.
  • Share insights into Korean market trends and parent's expectations with the Admissions and Marketing teams.
  • Lead parent and group tours for Korean-speaking families and offer personalized consultation to manage the admissions cycle from inquiry through enrollment and onboarding.
  • Consult and support the admission to enrolment process for other families beside Korean-speaking ones as and when assigned.

Community Engagement & Event representation

  • Actively engage with the Korean community in Ho Chi Minh City, including embassy / consulate, business groups, cultural associations and parent community to promote the school
  • Identify new channels and opportunities to increase brand awareness within the Korean market
  • Coordinate and deliver high-impact Korean-focused events or initiatives organised by the school, marketing team or cohost with partner, which includes but not limited to the below:
  • Build relationships with Korean Agents & Universities to hold Korean's university fairs (online / offline) in collaboration with marketing team
  • Promote all school events to Korean families
  • Engage with other Counsellors; Counsellor Assistants for Korean Liaison's of other international schools to promote relevant events to Korean students.
  • Translation of admission events and documentation for Korean attendees / readers
  • Run and support school KakaoTalk groups or any other social media channels where the School Korean Community may be engaged.
  • Represent the school at business events & meetings, community events with Korean groups in attendance to promote the school brand and generate referrals for enrolments.

Data and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inquiries, applications, and enrollments using the school's CRM system.
  • Analyze CRM-based related reports to track performance, conversion rates, and engagement trends.
  • Ensure data integrity, regular updates, and all data collection and usage complied with data protection regulations and school policies.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on assigned scopes regarding admissions trends, progress against targets, and forecasted enrollments to school leadership.

Budget Management

  • Manage the budget for relevant activities, projects and/or events to successfully drive Korean student enrollments under Admissions Director's guidance.
  • Monitor expenditures and ensure cost-effectiveness across admissions activities and events.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience

  • 2–4 years of experience in customer service, community relations, or admissions support—preferably in an international school or education setting.
  • Experience in translation/interpretation and handling bilingual communication professionally.
  • Experience organizing events or cultural programs for Korean communities is a plus.
  • Familiarity with international education systems and school operations is highly desirable.

Skills and Competencies

  • Korean speaker or Korean fluency, with strong English communication skills
  • Deep understanding of Korean culture, family expectations, and expatriate community dynamics.
  • Customer service oriented with a warm, approachable, and professional demeanor.
  • Effective teamwork & cross-functional coordination
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills under pressure.
  • Comfortably using CRM systems, email platforms, and office software.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education Management, Communications, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications are an advantage.

  • High level of integrity and ability to build trust within the organization.
  • Collaborative mindset to work effectively across teams and departments.
