034012 Accounting Team Lead (Open)
Job Description
The
Accounting Team Leader is responsible for
overseeing all accounting and tax activities for Greif Vietnam, ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and full compliance with Vietnamese and international standards. This role combines
hands‑
on accounting expertise with team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end‑to‑end accounting activities including AP, AR, GL, inventory, cost accounting, and fixed assets
- Coordinate and review monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
- Ensure compliance with VN GAAP, US GAAP / IFRS (as applicable), tax regulations, and internal policies
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures
- Act as the escalation point for complex accounting or transaction issues
- Serve as the local accounting contact for regional finance, shared services, auditors, and corporate stakeholders
- Supervise, review, and support the development of accounting team members
- Support audits, tax inspections, and continuous process improvements
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Chief Accountant Certificate issued by the Vietnam Ministry of Finance
- Proven accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or multinational environment
- Strong knowledge of GL, AP, AR, inventory, cost accounting, and fixed assets
- Solid understanding of Vietnam accounting and tax regulations; exposure to US GAAP / IFRS is an advantage
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle or similar preferred) and strong Excel skills
- Fluent in Vietnamese and English, spoken and written
Knowledge And Skills
- Experience supervising and guiding accounting teams
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
- Proactive, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently
- Exceptional communicator with the ability to work collaboratively in both Vietnamese and English
- Open‑minded, adaptable, and quick to learn in a changing environment
