POSITION : ACCOUNTANT- CONSOLIDATION SUPPORT & ASSISTANCE ON TAX/ACCOUNTING ISSUE
Job Purpose
To support the preparation of Group Consolidated Financial Statements, focusing on data collection, reconciliation and documentation as well as improving the efficiency of consolidation systems and processes. The role will also be involved in transaction support for portfolio activities within REE Corporation and its subsidiaries.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, review and consolidate financial data from subsidiaries for group reporting purposes.
- Assist the preparation of consolidated financial statement disclosures.
- Support the improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of REE Corporation's consolidation system and processes.
- Assist in developing and updating procedures, templates and internal guidelines.
- Research new accounting and tax regulations and support their implementation.
- Support transactions related to portfolio activities:
- Review accounting records, financial statements and tax filings as part of the overall due-diligence process
- Identify accounting and tax risks as it relates to the transaction.
- Perform other tasks related to consolidation, tax and DD as assigned.
Job Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Auditing or Finance.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in general accounting, reporting, auditing or advisory roles.
- Good working knowledge of group consolidation principles and corporate taxation.
- Experience or exposure to transaction activities is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, reconciliation and documentation skills.
- Ability to prepare written procedures and technical documentation.
- Proficient in English
