Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the setup of the statutory and tax bookkeeping requirements in accordance to local statutory requirements
- Accountable to submit financial reports to the Singapore Hub Shared Services General Ledger and Tax Operations for Management and Group reporting requirements
- Perform review of accounting analysis, to ensure reporting in high quality and according to timeline.
- Support Singapore Hub Shared Services on transactions related to Accounts Payable, Employee Expense claims and Accounts Receivable
- Responsible for documenting local accounting processes that provide insights to the difference between IFRS and Vietnam Accounting Standards
- Strong collaboration with stakeholders within the Group and external parties like auditors, tax advisers and government agencies
- Ensure strict compliance to the Group code of ethics and values
- Drive year-end audit process and communication
- Support Treasury activities like intercompany payments
- Ensure local invoices and required documents are properly archived and documented for audit purposes.
Requirements
Education & Certification
- Bachelor's degree in accounting and finance
- CPA or CA qualification
Accounting & Reporting Experience
- 6+ years of full-set accounting experience (AP, AR, GL, Tax, Treasury, Staff Expenses) in an MNC environment
- Proficient in IFRS and Vietnam Accounting Standards reporting
- Strong knowledge of local regulations related to Financial Reporting and Tax filing requirements
- Previous experience in a shared services environment
Systems & Technical Skills
- Proficient in SAP and MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with Blackline, PowerBI, and ServiceNow is a plus
- Start-up experience in implementing Accounting services and Accounting ERP is preferred
Audit & Process Improvement
- Audit experience with Big 4 firms in Vietnam is a plus
- Demonstrated experience in project management, change management, and operational process improvements using LEAN concepts
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders across functions and cultures
- Ability to work effectively with remote leadership and manage local senior stakeholders
- Willingness to collaborate globally across time zones
- Proficient in spoken and written English
