About the Company

The role of the accounting associate is responsible for maintaining accurate financial accounting records related to the operations of the company. The Accounting associate will also be reporting directly to the Accounting Manager as well as key management within the organization.

The accounting associate is responsible for maintaining accurate financial accounting records related to the operations of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Data Management:
  • Record and classify financial transactions, including sales, refunds, expenses, and vendor payments, accurately and promptly using automation whenever possible.
  • Maintain an organized system for documenting and archiving financial records, ensuring easy retrieval for auditing and reporting purposes.

Reconciliation and Reporting:

  • Reconcile e-commerce transactions with payment gateways, bank statements, and other relevant financial sources.
  • Support to prepare regular financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the organization's financial performance.
  • Prepare royalty reports for licensors.

Accounts Receivable and Payable:

  • Issue sales invoices, monitor and manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of payments from customers across various e-commerce platforms and wholesalers.
  • Process and track accounts payable, verifying invoices, initiating payments to vendors, and maintaining accurate records of expenditures.

Inventory Tracking:

  • Collaborate with the inventory management team to accurately track and record inventory levels, sales, and purchases.

Tax /Payroll Compliance:

  • Provide necessary financial data to third-party tax service providers and ensure alignment with tax/payroll compliance.

Ad hoc:

  • Prepare analytical reports as required to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.

System Maintenance and Integration:

  • Implement and maintain Xero accounting software, ensuring proper integration with e-commerce platforms, payment gateways, and other relevant financial tools.

Qualifications

  • 3-4 years experience in bookkeeping and financial reporting
  • Accounting experience in e-commerce is a big plus
  • Experience implementing and working with Xero accounting software is highly desirable.
  • Detail-oriented & good command of English
