About the Role

The Accounting Associate is a trusted experienced support professional performing finance and operations related tasks. This role handles accounting functions pertaining to the day-to-day financial operations of the assigned brand. It is a complex and multi-faceted role where the incumbent needs to display strong time-management skills and the ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

  • Managing account records, checking purchases, issuing invoices, and handling payments.
  • Be responsible for bookkeeping and preparing monthly/quarterly/yearly accounting and tax reports following VAS and Vietnam tax regulations.
  • Ensure all accounting records are properly kept and updated in accordance with VAS and local tax regulations.
  • Be responsible for preparing/managing vendors and internal contracts.
  • Receive and inspect all documents, including applications for payment; Make the bank transfer via the e banking system.
  • Performing month-end closing process and preparation of brand's financial statements, sales report and supporting schedules.
  • Monitor, verify, and update daily inboundoutbound documents (POs, Goods Receipt Notes, Delivery Notes, Waybills).
  • Track and record shrinkage, damaged goods, and inventory discrepancies according to company policies.
  • Control inventory status: physical stock, system stock, empty-column stock, pending-order stock, cancelled stock.
  • Collaborating with the assigned brand to reconcile any accounting discrepancies.
  • Keeping records and documenting financial processes.
  • Other duties and tasks that may be required and assigned from time to time by the immediate superior to achieve business goals.
  • Develop trends and projections for the brand's finances.
  • Work closely with the immediate superior in preparation of business plan and operational budget for the assigned brand.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
  • 1 - 2 years of experience in accounting or finance-related roles.
  • Basic to solid understanding of VAS and Vietnam tax regulations.
  • Experience in bookkeeping, invoicing, payments, and month-end closing is a plus.
  • Familiar with inventory accounting and reconciliation is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Excel; experience with accounting software is preferred.
  • Careful, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Responsible, proactive, and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment.
