Job Description

Curriculum Development and Research

  • Develop, review, and continuously improve curriculum documents, lesson resources, instructional materials, and learning outcomes.
  • Research current educational trends, teaching methodologies, and assessment practices to strengthen curriculum quality.
  • Ensure curriculum alignment with school standards, learning outcomes, and educational objectives.

Teaching and Homeroom Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned English classes to maintain classroom practice and validate curriculum effectiveness.
  • Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and engaging learning activities.
  • Monitor student attendance, behavior, well being, and academic progress.
  • Communicate with parents and collaborate with MOET homeroom teachers to support student development.
  • Provide substitute teaching when assigned.

Assessment Development and Student Reporting

  • Design, review, and improve assessments aligned with curriculum standards and learning outcomes.
  • Complete grading, student comments, reports, and academic documentation accurately and on time.
  • Analyze assessment data and recommend instructional improvements.

Lesson Plan Review and Academic Support

  • Review teachers lesson plans to ensure curriculum alignment and instructional quality.
  • Provide timely feedback and practical recommendations for lesson improvement.
  • Support teachers in implementing instructional strategies and classroom best practices.

Classroom Observation and Teacher Coaching

  • Conduct classroom observations according to the departmental observation schedule.
  • Provide constructive coaching and follow-up support to improve teaching effectiveness.
  • Identify professional development needs and recommend appropriate support.

Curriculum Implementation and Professional Development

  • Deliver internal teacher training sessions and curriculum workshops.
  • Support curriculum roll out and implementation across grade levels.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Collaborate with teachers, teaching assistants, administrators, and other departments.
  • Participate in department meetings, PLCs, curriculum planning sessions, and cross-functional projects.

Quality Assurance and Reporting

  • Ensure curriculum materials, assessments, instructional resources, and academic documents meet departmental quality standards.
  • Prepare reports on curriculum implementation, teacher development, and student achievement for school leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in English Language Teaching, English, Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field.
  • Valid teaching qualification is required for candidates without a degree in Education.
  • TESOL, CELTA, TEFL, or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of English teaching experience.
  • Experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or teacher training is preferred.
  • Experience working in bilingual or international school settings is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum design, assessment, and instructional coaching.
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Proficient in educational technology, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and digital learning platforms.
  • Demonstrates initiative, leadership, professionalism, and commitment to continuous improvement.

Working Expectations

  • Teach one assigned English class while fulfilling departmental R&D responsibilities.
  • Complete curriculum development projects and assigned academic tasks within agreed timelines.
  • Submit lesson plans, assessments, reports, and curriculum documents accurately and on schedule.
  • Participate in mandatory meetings, classroom observations, professional development sessions, and school events.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents, teachers, and school leadership.
  • Comply with all school policies, operational procedures, and academic standards.
