The Qualifications We Seek

Required Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a Game Animator, preferably on stylized or anime-inspired projects
• Strong proficiency in Blender or iClone 8, with solid keyframe animation skills for characters and creatures
• Hands-on experience with basic to intermediate character rigging, including skeleton setup, control rigs, skinning, and weight painting.
• Proven experience creating gameplay-focused animations, beyond purely cinematic work
• Solid understanding of core animation principles, including timing and spacing, weight and balance, and exaggeration suited to anime-style animation.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and respond positively to feedback in a remote environment
• Portfolio or demo reel demonstrating gameplay animations, with rigging setups or animation-ready rigs as a bonus.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with anime-style or stylized animation
• Ability to clean up motion capture data
• Experience with production-ready character rig creation or refinement
• Experience with Unreal Engine 5 or other game engines
• Knowledge of game animation optimization, including looping animations, root motion versus in-place animation, and state-machine-friendly animation setups.
• Strong English communication skills in an international work environment

Your Daily Tasks

• Create anime-inspired character and creature animations for the game series.
• Produce gameplay animations, including idle, walk, and run cycles; attack and skill animations; and hit, death, and loop animations.
• Apply clear timing, spacing, weight, and motion to deliver smooth and believable animations.
• Maintain strong gameplay readability across all animation states.
• Create, set up, and maintain basic to intermediate character rigs that are clean, stable, and animator-friendly.
• Deliver game-ready animations and rigs that integrate smoothly into the game engine.
• Collaborate with 3D artists, team leads, and game producers to align animation, rigging, and gameplay requirements.
• Refine and polish animations and rigs based on art direction feedback and gameplay iterations.
