Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts to ensure legal compliance and protect company interests.
- Advise on legal structures, including joint ventures and SPVs, and address cross-border legal and regulatory matters.
- Identify and mitigate contractual and project-related legal risks.
- Support licensing, permits, and regulatory approval processes.
- Manage contract disputes, claims, arbitrations, and litigation.
- Provide legal advice and training to internal stakeholders on contractual and compliance matters.
- Collaborate with project, finance, procurement, and external legal counsel to ensure effective contract management.
- Maintain legal documentation and strengthen governance through policies and procedures.
- Support ad hoc legal and project-related assignments as required.
Requirements:
- LLB from a recognized university.
- 10+ years of legal experience in private practice and/or in-house, preferably in construction.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore construction law, regulations, and compliance.
- Proven expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, risk management, and commercial legal advisory.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
