About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Head of Unit, Group Reporting to lead the Group's financial reporting function and ensure accurate, timely, and compliant reporting across the organisation.
This role will oversee group and company-level financial reporting, consolidation, audit engagements, and regulatory compliance while providing valuable financial insights and recommendations to senior management. The successful candidate will also play a key role in driving process improvements and developing a high-performing finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Group and company-level financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Oversee the Group reporting and consolidation process, including quality review and finalisation of financial statements and consolidation notes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Drive process improvements to streamline Group Reporting operations and enhance reporting efficiency.
- Analyse financial trends and provide insights and recommendations to senior management to support business decisions.
- Act as the key liaison with external and internal auditors, external advisors, and senior stakeholders.
- Lead and oversee Group internal and external audit engagements, ensuring proper coverage of key risks, controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Review audit findings and ensure appropriate and timely responses.
- Lead, coach, and develop the finance team, driving performance and building a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic projects and business initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and reporting practices across the Group.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- ACCA, CPA, or MIA membership is mandatory.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant finance, accounting, or audit experience.
- Strong experience in financial reporting, consolidation, audit, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Hands-on approach with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in financial systems and Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills being an advantage.
- Proven track record in driving process improvements and best practices.
- Prior experience in PLC environment will be an added advantage.
