Backed by a leading global sustainable infrastructure investor, the business has an extensive pipeline of renewable energy projects throughout the region.

Job Description

  • Lead grid connection and HV engineering activities for utility-scale renewable energy projects.
  • Manage electrical design activities including substations, transmission lines, collection systems, and grid interconnections.
  • Coordinate closely with NGCP, DOE, utilities, and local authorities to secure timely approvals.
  • Support project development, permitting, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Manage electrical engineering consultants, contractors, and equipment suppliers.
  • Review technical designs, drawings, specifications, and construction activities.
  • Prepare tender documentation, evaluate bids, and support contract negotiations.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, risks, and engineering deliverables.
  • Support construction and commissioning activities to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide technical leadership across solar and wind projects in the Philippines.
  • Identify creative solutions to accelerate approvals and resolve project bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with regional teams across Southeast Asia.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Grid Engineering Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Licensed Electrical Engineer.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in power, renewable energy, transmission, or substation projects.
  • Strong understanding of NGCP requirements, grid connection processes, and Philippine energy regulations.
  • Experience working on solar, wind, or utility-scale energy projects.
  • Proven experience managing consultants, contractors, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of transmission lines, substations, and HV electrical systems.
  • Ability to work proactively and drive approvals through government and regulatory agencies.
  • Experience in project management, budgeting, and contractor coordination.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
