Record and analyse fixed assets acquisitions and disposals in SAP fixed assets module
Maintain the Fixed and Intangible Assets Register ensuring accurate recording of additions, disposals, transfer and monthly depreciation
Coordinate and support in the annual inventory count exercise
Prepare monthly schedules for fixed assets, including movement and work in process reports.
Perform year-end fixed and intangible assets accrual exercise
Assist in month-end closing process and reporting, including prepare monthly and ad-hoc journals
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and follow up on outstanding recon items.
Participate in projects and system developments/enhancements in related to fixed/intangible assets process improvement as well as perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) & document results.
Perform other ad-hoc reporting tasks that may be assigned from time to time
Requirements
Diploma in Accounting or equivalent professional qualification (such as ACCA)
Have at least 3 years of relevant experience in accounting & financial reporting
Prior experience from insurance Industry would be an advantage
Meticulous with a keen eye for detail
Able to work well under tight deadlines
Have good communication and interpersonal skills with ability to liaise with/work within and across departments
Highly motivated and able to work independently as well as in team
Good PC skills with strong Excel knowledge
Experience in SAP accounting system and Hyperion would be an advantage
