Who We're Looking For

We are seeking a compassionate and strategic Executive Director to lead the Lodge's operations, programmes, and community impact. As a longstanding Buddhist charitable organisation, we serve the community through religious activities, welfare and outreach initiatives while upholding Buddhist values.

This role requires a strong leader who can partner closely with the Board, guide staff and volunteers, strengthen governance, and build meaningful partnerships to support long-term sustainability.

What You'll Do

• Lead overall strategy, organisational development, and daily operations
• Work closely with the Board on governance, policies and short-term/long-term planning (i.e. Board Meetings, Annual General Meetings, Governance Reports etc) implementation and provide timely updates
• Oversee programmes, service delivery, and administration
• Ensure compliance with risk management, legal, audit, safety, PDPA (as DPO) and fire safety (Site Main Controller).
• Ensure strong financial stewardship and regulatory compliance (e.g. Charities Act, IPC requirements)
• Build and foster a positive, collaborative, and values-driven organisational culture
• Lead, mentor, and develop staff and volunteers, including succession planning
• Strengthen stakeholder engagement with donors, devotees, partners, and the wider community
• Drive fundraising initiatives and resource development.
• Enhance organisational effectiveness, outreach, and public profile
• Represent the Lodge at official and community platforms

What We're Looking For

• Degree with 10+ years of senior leadership experience (non-profit, community, social service, or faith-based preferred)
• Strong strategic, operational, people and financial management capabilities
• Good understanding of Singapore's charity governance framework
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Collaborative, mission-driven leadership style with high integrity
• Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse communities
• Passion for and appreciation of Buddhist values and community service
• Ability to balance tradition with modern organisational practices.
• Familiarity with Buddhist teachings and practices is an advantage

Working Conditions

• Availability for weekends
• Availability for evenings and public holidays for religious events and community programmes when required
