Data Engineer

Description

We are looking for a seasoned Data Engineer to join our team in Southeast Asia. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with various teams to support data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Design, construct, install, and maintain large-scale processing systems and data pipelines.
• Develop data models and data architecture to support business objectives.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data needs and ensure data quality.
• Implement and monitor ETL processes to ensure efficient data extraction and transformation.
• Optimize data flow and collection for cross-functional teams.
• Ensure data governance and compliance with data security policies.

Skills and Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience in data engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services.
• Knowledge of data warehousing solutions and data modeling best practices.
• Experience with data integration tools (e.g., Talend, Apache NiFi).
• Understanding of data governance and data quality frameworks.
