We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Vice President (AVP) in Procurement to join our team in Singapore. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving procurement strategies, optimizing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing across the organization. This is an exciting opportunity for a procurement professional to contribute to our continued growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the procurement team to deliver best-in-class sourcing and procurement solutions.
Develop, implement, and monitor procurement strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Drive cost savings initiatives and value creation through effective negotiation and supplier management.
Oversee end-to-end procurement processes, including tendering, contract management, and supplier performance evaluation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in procurement practices.
Prepare and present procurement reports, analysis, and recommendations to senior management.
Mentor and develop procurement staff, fostering a culture of high performance and professional growth.
Requirements:
Minimum of five years experience in procurement, contract management, or vendor management roles in the IT area.
Experience in business management and strategic sourcing.
Experience in formulating supplier negotiation strategies to address commercial and contractual aspects, including boilerplates and KPIs/SLAs.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPM) is an advantage.
Proven track record in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Experience in the Singapore market and knowledge of regional procurement regulations is preferred.
