Senior Game Tester

About the role:

Were seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Game Tester to help us ensure the highest quality standards for our games before release. You will play a critical role in identifying bugs, providing valuable feedback to developers, and improving the overall player experience.

As a Senior Game Tester, youre not just executing test cases - youre proactively evaluating game design intent, championing quality, mentoring others, and pushing for continuous improvement across QA processes.

Responsibilities

• Understand project scope, design intentions, and quality expectations from stakeholders.
• Perform end-to-end testing on mobile games, covering functional, usability, performance, compatibility aspects.
• Create, maintain, and improve test plans and detailed test cases tailored to project milestones.
• Identify, document, and track issues/bugs clearly and accurately using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Re-test resolved bugs and validate that fixes dont introduce regressions.
• Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and product managers to ensure timely resolution of critical issues.
• Conduct unscripted/exploratory testing to uncover hidden issues beyond defined scenarios.
• Evaluate and give feedback on gameplay experience, UI/UX, and overall game feel.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in mobile game QA
• Deep understanding of testing methodologies, QA processes, and defect life cycle.
• Proficient with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira) and test case management tools (e.g., TestRail).
• Familiarity with mobile platforms (iOS, Android) and device fragmentation challenges.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to identify both minor glitches and game-breaking bugs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
• Passionate about games and quality user experience.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively
