Job Description
General Information:
- Department: Product / Business Analysis.
- Level: Lead (team management + hands-on BA for complex flows).
- Reports to: Product Owner / Head of Product.
Role Summary:
We are building a modern online travel platform. The Business Analyst Lead owns end-to-end business requirements and ensures consistency across customer-facing web, back office, and mobile applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and standardize the end-to-end booking flow: search, pricing/rules, reservation, payment, ticketing, post-booking management, and changes/refunds.
- Analyze and specify requirements for third-party content and supplier integrations, including pricing and fulfillment business rules.
- Produce documentation: BRD/SRS, user stories with acceptance criteria, business rules, process flows (BPMN/flowchart), and data dictionaries; manage the backlog together with the Product Owner.
- Specify back office requirements: booking operations, refund/ cancellation handling, payment reconciliation, and reporting.
- Work with engineering to clarify API and event contracts across services.
- Manage and mentor the BA team; review documentation quality and establish BA templates and standards.
- Support UAT, define business-driven test scenarios, and work with QA to validate requirements.
- Handle multi-language/multi-market analysis, currency, time zones, and relevant compliance constraints (privacy, terms, customer data).
Requirements:
- 5+ years as a Business Analyst, including 2+ years leading/mentoring a BA team.
- Domain experience in travel / airline / online booking / distribution systems is a strong advantage.
- Strong requirements specification: BRD/SRS, user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, BPMN/UML.
- Solid understanding of API/microservices and event-driven architecture, sufficient to collaborate with engineering and specify contracts.
- Experience with payment business logic (payment gateways, refund/void, reconciliation).
- Analytical mindset; able to read schemas and use basic SQL to validate business logic and reporting.
- Strong written and spoken English (technical documentation, international integration work).
- Strong communication, stakeholder coordination, and prioritization skills in a multi-team environment (web, mobile, back office).
Nice to Have:
- Experience with multi-platform products (web + native mobile).
- Knowledge of international fare rules, ancillaries, and ticketing lifecycle.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum and Jira/Confluence.
- Awareness of personal/payment data compliance (PII/PCI).

- Clarity and coverage of acceptance criteria (reduced rework from gaps).
- Defect rate caused by business misunderstanding at UAT/production.
- Business consistency across web, mobile, and back office.
- BA team documentation throughput and quality.
