Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Basic Function of the Job

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, financial reporting, and tax compliance to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance with local regulations.

This role also leads the accounting team, strengthens internal controls, and drives process improvements to support business performance.

General Accounting

Lead and control full-cycle accounting operations (AP, AR, GL, Fixed Assets, Payroll) to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with VAS.
Review and approve accounting entries, payments, and supporting documents; ensure proper revenue and expense recognition.
Strengthen internal controls, continuously improve accounting procedures, and ensure proper documentation and audit readiness.

Financial Closing

Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Review trial balance, perform account reconciliations, and ensure all adjustments/accruals are properly recorded.
Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and on-time closing timelines.

Tax Compliance

Take full ownership of tax matters (PIT, CIT, FCT), ensuring compliance with local regulations and timely submissions.
Work directly with tax authorities on audits, reconciliations, and inquiries.
Monitor regulatory updates and implement necessary changes to minimize tax risks and penalties.

Team Leadership & Management

Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team; assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor performance.
Build a high-performing team through training, feedback, and performance management.
Ensure effective communication and collaboration within team and across departments.

Reporting & Audit

Oversee preparation of financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis.
Lead external and internal audit processes; ensure timely submission and resolution of audit findings.
Review audited financial statements and ensure accuracy before finalization.

Others

Drive process improvements and ERP system optimization to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.
Support Finance leadership in strategic initiatives, compliance matters, and projects.

REQUIREMENTS

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.

Experience

Minimum 8+ years of accounting experience in manufacturing.
At least 3+ years in a managerial role.
Experience in MNC or manufacturing environment is preferred.

Skills

Strong knowledge of Vietnamese Accounting Standards and tax regulations.
Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred).
Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills with high-level English proficiency.
Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work under pressure.

Skills

Proficient in office software (Word, Excel) and PBI.
Strong English communication skills.
Detail-oriented, reliable, and highly responsible.
Familiar with accounting systems; proficiency in Oracle is preferred.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide and support team performance
