As a Well Systems Mechanical Engineer - NPI, you will play a vital role in leading the creation of systems and solutions that fulfil both the business and technical needs of our customers. You'll be able to learn and evolve in an innovative environment, have the autonomy to make key decisions, solve problems and provide technical guidance to our regional team.


  • Undertaking mechanical engineering activities from initial customer requirements and developing them into design specifications, verifying the design and then converting them into manufacturing specifications and operating specifications.

  • Identifying, assessing and responding to mitigate risks to people, plant and the environment because of the engineering activities, to ensure lessons learned are well communicated and reflected in the design activities.

  • Ensuring engineering deliverables are satisfy the contractual and third-party requirements. Interpreting the customer and regulatory requirements, assessing the factors that will affect the outcome of the engineering activities and finally defining the engineering deliverables.

  • Establishing the planning process through to the development of a schedule & prioritization for all assigned engineering duties & activities.

  • Obtaining Resources for Engineering: Ensure that assigned work is executed according to standard and schedule within budgets for duties and activities assigned.

  • Ensuring that the engineering activities are implemented from the initial definition of customer requirements, planning the works through to the final handover to the client.

To be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Have Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Design Engineering & engineering experience gained in an Oil and Gas, Energy, Industrial or renewable environment.

  • Have demonstrated experience of collaborating with cross-functional teams in a global-matrix environment to deliver complex technical projects and solutions

  • Have strong communication and presentation skills to articulate technical information in a clear and concise manner in English

  • Be a motivated self-starter, team player and multi-tasking, proactively taking the initiative to lead and solve problems, able to work under high pressure.

  • Have knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing ANSI Y14.5M (GD&T)

  • Proficient using MS Office applications, MathCad, AutoCAD, CreO/ProE/3D software and TeamCenter.

  • Be knowledgeable of applicable codes and standards (such as related API, ASME, etc.) and general material types, coating types, welding, manufacturing techniques, corrosion protection, and NDE.
