Responsiblities:
- Oversee warehouse team attendance, discipline, volume forecasting, rostering
- Ensure smooth running of warehouse sorting operations and guarantee completion daily
- Monitor continuation of parcel's lifecycle, identify issues related to variances (miss tagged, misplaced, theft, damage) and conduct root cause analysis
- Ensure proper inbounding/ outbounding and sizing of parcels and conflict resolution
- Carry out investigative actions into any accidents or security issues and recommend preventative measures
- Maintain warehouse orderliness, workplace safety and security ensure housekeeping and standards of office and general areas are maintained at all times.
- Maintain inventory of warehouse and office equipment
- Coordinate with other main hubs regarding updates on sorting
- Do daily reporting to provide dept head a snapshot on how well the ops is being run
- Do weekly report to raise up blockers and updates on tasks
- Ensure supervisors complete their daily tasks on time based on checklist and warehouse SOP is adhered to
- Oversee scheduling of day pick up/warehouse team
- Manage discipline issues of the warehouse and oversee orderly warehouse flow
Requirments:
- Extremely pro-active, organized and highly responsible
- More than5 years of experience in warehouse and/or logistics,2-3 years working experience at least for the manager role
- Verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with various audiences and ability to effectively provide employees instruction on process and practice
- Ability to interpret and draw conclusions from numerical data
- Strong operational skills, particularly with regards to people management and resource allocation
- Software skills, including use of Microsoft Office software and web-based applications
