Job Description

This position is responsible for finance partnering, financial planning, analysis and control for Supply Chain and Distribution Operations. Incumbent develops, implements and maintains an effective planning and analysis capability that will provide Supply Chain and Operations leadership with appropriate analytical tools to establish goals and measure performance of the Company's Supply Chain and Distribution Operations. In addition, incumbent is expected to be a strong business partner to F&D and cross-functional teams to drive operational effectiveness and efficiencies as well as identify and realize Supply Chain and F&D Cost Leadership savings while protecting company assets and resources.
1. Financial Planning & RLBE Preparation and Reporting :
  • Prepare the Freight and Distribution quarterly, annual and long-term financial plans
  • Prepare Abbott DOH and Capital Expenditure forecast/LBE

2.Financial Analysis and Reporting
  • Ensure the accuracy and Policy compliance of financial reporting.
  • Complete all required analytics and reporting tasks timely for spend review.
  • Forecast and drive Abbott DOH and Capital Expenditure results.

3. Business Partnering to Drive Improved and Desired Results
  • Business partner with Supply Chain and Logistics and other cross-functional teams to drive effective and efficient operational execution for all brands and channels to support sales of nearly $600MM in 2022
  • Supply Chain and Distribution Operations Finance partnering
  • Evaluation and approval of spends
  • Preparation of RCEs for approval

4.Internal Control
  • Establish and ensure proper F&D spend and financial controls to comply with Abbott's Financial and Compliance policies and procedures while assuring efficiency and effectiveness of spends
  • Establish SOPS to assure efficiency and effectiveness of operations
  • Establish controls for protection of Abbott's assets and resources including Abbott DOH and CAPEX

5. Other Tasks
Perform other tasks necessary to support the business including but not limited to:
  • Drive Margin and Profit Improvements, Cost Leadership projects and operational efficiencies through cross-functional collaboration. Lead certain Cost Leadership projects to successful execution
  • Any other financial tasks requested by Finance Director or DVP/GM
  • Minimum 5 years preparing accurate and high quality financial plans and budgets in collaboration with various business stakeholders.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in successful business partnering with functional colleagues that drove desired and outstanding business results and outcomes. Viewed as a Finance expert and trustworthy partner by colleagues.
  • Adept in accounting and Generally Accepted Accounting principles and able to prepare and review journal entries according to and are compliant with company policies and procedures. Minimum 7 years experience preparing or reviewing accounting entries
  • Strong analytical background with knowledge of accounting, planning and financial principles
