Our innovative approaches have resulted in the company's products being first to market in many of key areas, including opto-electronics and DSP based transceivers providing most advanced chips and subsystems solutions to address today's and future's multi-100Gig interconnect requirements for the ever-increasing demand of higher data rates. We are seeking talented individuals to work on solving technical challenges with the most outstanding group of collaborators in the industry.
Key Accountabilities:
The candidate will be the key member of a team of experienced designers responsible for board and system level reference platforms and silicon characterization boards for Inphi best in class high speed communication Ser-des products.

  • Design/develop and layout PCBs from concept to pre-production

  • Perform pre-layout analysis and simulations

  • Provide technical guidance and routing constraints to layout engineers based on simulation results

  • Work on physical implementation of critical high-speed links from chip package to PCB using Allegro, running 3D field solver extractions in HFSS, PDN analysis, time-domain ADS simulations and channel analysis.

  • Analyze results from team members and guide development.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, or MSEE preferred

  • 5-8 years of industry experience in Electrical engineering with emphasis on Transmission line EM and microwave theory

  • Good knowledge of microelectronics PCB fabrication process and Assembly and reflow processes

  • Proficiency in Orcad schematic capture and allegro PCB layout

  • Experience with via and stack-up optimization techniques for high speed channels

  • Power plane design, modeling and analysis using Power-SI or SI-wave

  • Experience dealing with PCB and Assembly vendors

  • Knowledgeable with PCB materials, material vendors and manufacturing processes

  • Good understanding of high-speed probing and measurements techniques and correlation of simulation results with measurements

  • Knowledge of EM, Transmission line theory fundamentals

  • Proficiency in full-wave simulation using HFSS or CST

  • Must be self-motivated, organized and able to work independently

  • Excellent communication (including English Language) and presentation skills, team player
