Job Description:

  • Lead and optimise sorting operations across the region, including both manual and automatic sorting processes
  • Develop a deep understanding of each sorting process to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and optimise costs
  • Work with large datasets to conduct root cause analyses and evaluate tradeoffs between using advanced data analytics tools (SQL, Python, R, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) that are practical and effective, and track their implementation to ensure compliance and sustained improvement
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and implement projects
  • Work closely with local counterparts in each market to understand their business problems, scaling factors, and boundary conditions
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and ensure that improvements are sustained over time
  • Communicate ideas and key findings in a logical and structured manner to senior management and other stakeholders
  • Manage and train the sorting operations team to ensure adherence to SOPs and efficient use of resources
  • Stay up-to-date with new sorting technologies and industry best practices, and identify opportunities for their implementation


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM or other related fields with analytical components
  • At least 5 years of experience in logistics and/or sorting operations, with a deep understanding of both manual and automatic sorting processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to find insights using data and make good judgement
  • Passionate about deep-diving into problems and driving changes in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Good project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to work on the ground to drive implementation of changes and improvements
  • Some travel is required as this is a regional role
