Job Description:
. Department: Smart Services Institute
. Reports to: Project Management Director
. Smart Services Institute is the department in charge of smart features of company's EVs, including in-vehicle and off-vehicle connected services such as virtual assistant, vehicle control, navigation, safety and security, smart home control and office features, etc.
. The Product Owner - Smart Services is responsible for gathering customer insights, performing detailed requirements analysis, develop product requirements and manage the end-to-end delivery of tasks through agile project management, documenting processes, and performing some user acceptance testing.
. This role is responsible for designing and building solutions to meet customer needs in collaboration with relevant departments, ensuring the positioning values in line with selected CVP.
. This role takes part in the creation of KPIs and OKRs for the relevant team(s)/ product(s) of the Smart Services Institute
. To succeed in this role, the job holder you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.
A. Product development
. Setting operational objectives by studying business functions gathering information evaluating output requirements and formats
. Participate in drawing up the overall product specifications, including constructing workflow charts and diagrams studying system capabilities writing specifications
. Gather and analyze customer insights to develop new product feature requirements and enhancement plans.
. Draw up the solution delivery procedures to the customer, administer the solution delivery plan to the customer according to the designed process.
. Develop product requirements and collaborate in the management of end-to-end product delivery including customer portrait identification and pain-point journey Solution design Solution Development Testing Launching Experience Evaluation... and Solution Adjustment.
. Create informative, actionable, and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement
. Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues
. Suggest changes to senior management using analytics to support your recommendations. Actively participate in the implementation of approved changes
B. Product delivery
. During the Planning & Strategy stages:
o Gives inputs to generate the smart services roadmap by week/month with dashboards to demonstrate improvement iterations - work closely with Planning (Working knowledge of Jira & TFS required)
o Gives inputs to generate Release schedule commitment for all devices (including app, if any) - own the live document
o Use the interface to plan for new commercial contracts and third-party features - generate a roadmap by customer value
. During Hardware and Software development phases:
o Work with the Hardware and in house Manufacturing teams to define deadlines, maturity gateways including 2nd and 3rd source components tracking. Track mechanical test and sign of status
o Work with the UX team, design to manage the scheduling of UX/UI new content reviews
o Give inputs for the concise reports for DV completions status
. During Software Integration
o Ensure the process for delivering cross functional features - coordinate architecture reviews and drive implementation plans
o Collaborate to create metrics for System test completion and status
o Keep track of the progression of Automated test coverage
C. Product quality & stakeholder management
. Quality
o Coordinate the continuous improvement, define, and implement improvement stories to increase the velocity and quality of programs.
o Coordinate and manage task execution, removing task impediments to allows teams to fully focus on product delivery.
o Contributes to maintain comprehensive project documentation
o Expose Quality metrics by market - what matters most to customers
o Ensuring that the data consumption is continuously monitored, measured against targets and validated
o Monitoring legislative changes and lead the conducting of impact analysis
o Perform risk management to minimize project risks
. Vendor/ Third party/ Stakeholder relationship management
o Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
o Coordinate internal resources (BE/FE/App/UXUI/QA) and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
o Work with team leads to resolve people problems and project roadblocks, conduct postmortem and root cause analysis to help squads continuously improve their practices to ensure maximum productivity
o Be able to direct the head of smart services on areas to focus and drive technical reviews into the correct forums
o Ensure the daily clear communication between technical teams to quickly bring resolutions
o Own the communication, coordination and delivery of Connected Car data that is critical to running a connected services business
Job Requirements:
. Required qualification
o A good knowledge of the Smart Services Institute working practices and role in the business
o A bachelor's degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
o A minimum of 3 years of experience in business analysis or a related field.
o Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
o Advanced technical skills.
o Demonstrated success of working with cross functional teams and diverse geographical locations
o Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated leadership behaviors
o Knowledge of IoT products and services
o Being able to create KPIs, OKRs for the relevant products/ skill teams in the Smart Services Institute
o Being able to generate the Smart services roadmap with dashboards to demonstrate improvement iterations
o Fluent spoken (and ideally written) English and Vietnamese for international communications and coordination of diverse skill teams
o Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
o Knowledge of network protocol (both operator and device side), network core platform, Telematics, eSIM
o Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
. Optional qualification:
o Good working and implementation knowledge of Agile and agile practices in a similar environment
o Demonstrated knowledge of metric creation in an agile environment to drive performance and delivery
o Good knowledge of the inner workings of company to maximize the value of connectivity for the Enterprise
o Demonstrated Business acumen with a good understanding of planning, strategy, and implementation
o A track record of following through on commitments.
o Experience leading and developing top-performing teams
