Job Description

The IT System Administrator role consists of implementing, configuring, and operating the IT network and infrastructure of the organization, to develop documentation that continuously improve the support and efficiency. The System Administrator will also ensure that the network is secured from external threats to its reliability and information protection. The role will support the sourcing, procurement and management of the IT hardware and software assets of the company, while also support the helpdesk operation activities.

IT infrastructure and network management & operation

Setup, install, configure, update, and support all IT network equipment, including firewalls, routers, servers, switches, wireless AP, VOIP, DNS and DHCP and printers, in line with the needs of all the organization's facilities.

Configure security settings on each of system to optimize network efficiency and security.

Ensure that disaster recovery operations are running smoothly and address any service disruption or interruption in the network infrastructure operations.

Monitor server, network and printer performance and proactively take measures to optimize performance.

Audit infrastructure for potential vulnerability and make necessary changes to mitigate efficiency or security risks.

Set-up and manage a backup infrastructure for systems settings and data in line with the company requirements.

Minimize spam email to employees of the organization.

IT infrastructure, network, and software support

Build documentation for troubleshooting procedures related to IT infrastructure and network software and hardware.

Provide technical guidance and assistance to the IT support team members.

Support the creation / removal of user accounts and manage access permissions in the various systems in compliance with the information security procedures in place.

Provide rapid technical support (remote or on-site if needed) to users by troubleshooting problems related to network and system performance or disruption.

IT assets management

Support the sourcing and procurement efforts for the acquisition of hardware and software needed by the organization.

Manage IT hardware assets by keeping track of inventory, asset status and asset ownership.

Ensure IT hardware performance by using authorized software, effective virus malware protection solutions and scheduling cache wipe out tasks.

Required Competencies

4-5+ years experience in IT system administration role

Hands-on experience in firewalls and IT network security solutions

Experience with Microsoft 365 Business Premium and Intune / endpoint management

Strong customer-focus mindset is a must.

Advanced PC knowledge.

Working knowledge of Linux and PowerShell for Windows

Working knowledge of LAN, WAN, WLAN, POS system

Hard-working and willing to learn.

Bonus Competencies

Knowledge of ISO 27001:2013, NIST framework

Knowledge of Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure

Experience in web development.
