Job DescriptionThe Opportunity
Senior Actuarial Specialist contributes to the Corporate Actuarial team to being a balanced and trusted advisor to executive management by providing insights into the financials of the company.

We are looking for someone with:
  • Must possess a university degree related to actuarial science
  • Must be actively taking / passing exams administered by an accredited actuarial organization
  • At least 5 years actuarial experience in life insurance industry
Nice to Haves:
  • Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or equivalent is preferred, candidates near ASA level will be considered also

On the job you will:
  • Performs financial projections for annual business plan, including modelling and assumption setting, commentary and presentation of submissions, and effective collaboration with multiple teams
  • Manages regular New Business and Inforce Embedded Value modelling and reporting
  • Establishes expertise on products, liability calculations and other related concepts, as well as applicable standards and guidelines, to complete requirements with minimal oversight and high quality
  • Contributes to strategic review of investment strategies, capital solutions and distribution partnerships.
  • Handles additional projects and tasks assigned by direct manager from time to time.
