As a Sales Engineer, you will be facilitating the sales process from identified prospect to sales in order to meet sales targets within the assigned customers/segments/territory. This position is based at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Reporting to Service Manager, you will act as marketer/salesperson of ABB's Motion Services portfolio when appropriate, for example at trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, customer meetings.Your responsibilities

  • Contributing to the identification and development of new and/or potential customers and gathering market information, such as the assessment of business potential within select segments, monitoring of competitors, offerings to customers, price levels, etc. and prepare budget based on market forecast.
  • Identify business opportunities and new prospects to expand drive and motor market coverage area in services and proposing strategy to approach customers in order to generate and secure the projects.
  • Preparing weekly and monthly sales report and participating in project handover meeting with project execution team, follow up customers payments in accordance with the terms of the contract in order to avoid past due notices
  • Tracking and monitoring quotations (volume of offers, won-lost analysis, provide feedback of offers in sales force.com tools).
  • Building and maintaining a good relationship with customers in the allocated regions/segments and fulfill the expected number customer visits as established in consultation with the Service / Sales Manager and ensures that the customer database is maintained updated regarding customer information, contact persons, businesses and activities
  • Translating the needs of the customer in the relevant offerings based on ABB's product, system, and service portfolio.
  • Ensuring that agreements which have been entered are complied with and that deliveries of parts and services are implemented on time at the agreed upon cost and supporting post-sales activities especially in motors and generators services.
Your background

  • Minimum 3 years of services-business experience.
  • Bachelor or Master of Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
  • Experience in motors and generators service business would be preferred, B2B and B2C
  • Good computer skills, skillful in using Visio/AutoCAD software is a plus
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach, with strong written and spoken communication skills, should be flexible to travel.
