Job Description

Objective

We are looking for skilled sales and marketing talents who can design and execute our market entry strategy for new climate resistant crops which we are growing right here in Vietnam.In this role, you will manage sales and direct customer relations for our seaweeds, salt tolerant crops, and our flagship product- samphire.

Your role:

Prospect new customers and leads assigned as part of a pooled resource group.
Find new accounts with distributors.
Foster relationships with end-users (chefs, food processors, consumers) to understand consumer perceptions and receive feedback from clients.
Be point of contact with distributors, restaurants, and grocers providing a high level of customer service and professionalism.
Build consumer awareness about new products using social media, conventional marketing.
Full-time position

Requirements

One or more years of B2B or B2C inside sales experience in food and beverage sector
Proficient in English conversation and writing
Based in Ho Chi Minh City
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office, email, Zalo, and Google Drive
University degree at undergraduate level
Vietnamese Citizenship

Preferred qualifications

Experience at fine dining restaurant in purchasing or sales department.

Skills and core competencies

An ability to tell a story with enthusiasm, communicate and influence others over phone, email, video.
Aptitude for learning about features of new produce, solving problems and relating to people.
Ability to work independently and improve the sales capabilities of the team.
Experience at fine dining restaurant in purchasing or sales department.
Confidence and willingness to take initiative in key decisions as the team's leading expert in sales and marketing.
Willing to express opinions and debate with other team members, including director.
Willing to regularly meet with customers to maintain relationships and resolve issues.

Key outcomes

Sales volume targets for samphire is met at appropriate price.

Interest shown among consumers for seaweed products.

What we are working towards:

We are one of the world's first companies, and are the first in Asia, to cultivate crops using seawater instead of soil. This technology is being used to mitigate the effects of coastal erosion and climate change in coastal communities across Vietnam and Southeast Asia as a whole. The crops we grow are species which are new to markets in the region; therefore, effective communication about flavor and health benefits is needed to build awareness about these crops. We are introducing new flavors and healthy foods, while also strengthening the resilience of coastal communities against climate change.

What is Samphire

Samphire is a land plant that grows naturally on beaches and coasts around the world and can be irrigated with full strength ocean water. Minerals from the salty water are absorbed into the plant's shoots, giving the plant a distinct fresh-salty flavor that is highly sought after among skilled chefs. Samphire is also one of the world's healthiest vegetables and is high in minerals, antioxidants, and anti-inflammatories.
