DFT Engineering
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct DFT Engineering Tasks
  • DFT Audit / Scan Logic / Compression Logic / MBIST Logic / BSCAN Logic Insertion
  • Timing Constraints Development & Timing Checking: Timing constrain files to be used by Physical Design Team and sign-off check before Tape-Out
  • Formality checking
  • DFT Verification (Scan simulation, MBIST simulation, BSCAN simulation) and Silicon Test Pattern Generation

Control and Review the Design For Testability Activities
  • Audit design for testability
  • Plan / insert test logic for DFT manufacturing test
  • Verify added test logic
  • Generate additional data and support physical design engineers when implementing test logics
  • Generate silicon test patterns to be used to test post-manufactured chips before shipping to customers

Project Management
  • May act as a DFT lead and mentor when required
  • Work with other design leads on key architectural changes and tasks to follow

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 10-15 years of related professional experience.
  • Master's degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 5-10 years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge of DFT design and Physical Design tools, SoC development process, Verilog HDL language for reading/modifying/testing designs and Unix working environment
  • Strong experience on doing DFT design for big ASIC (millions of flops range), with Hierarchical DFT Design Techniques
  • Familiar with programming language: Shell, Perl, Tcl
  • Strong experience in EDA DFT tools of Mentor Graphics and Synopsys
  • Good experience on EDA tools for Logic Equivalence Check, Digital Simulation, Static Timing Analysis
  • Windows environment: MS Office, Citrix
  • Possession of good interpersonal skills and analytical, excellent skills of management and organization, excellent problem solving and decision making abilities
  • Proficient in English: able to read and understand technical materials and discuss technical issues
  • Influencing skills over a wide spectrum of technical contacts
