Job Description

General Information

  • Direct Report: COO
  • Location: District 7 and frequent business travel to various provinces/sites as required by project schedules.

Job Purpose

As the Operations Excellence Manager at AIG, you will be driving the continuous improvement of culture and operational efficiency across our manufacturing facilities.

You will be responsible for optimizing production processes, managing manufacturing, optimizing Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), and maximizing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to support AIG's sustainable growth in the food ingredients market.

Key Responsibilities

1. COGS Optimization & Manufacturing Cost Control

  • Analyze and manage manufacturing conversion costs to systematically reduce and optimize the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) across all product lines.
  • Identify areas of material loss, excessive energy consumption, and operational waste (MUDA) to drive down the total cost of production while maintaining premium product quality.
  • Partner with Procurement and Finance teams to evaluate how process efficiencies directly impact the factory's gross margins and bottom-line profitability.

2. OEE Maximization & Process Optimization

  • Own, monitor, and deep-dive into the group-wide OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) database to maximize machine availability, performance, and quality rates.
  • Lead bottleneck analysis and streamline complex production flows to shorten manufacturing lead times and increase total output capacity.
  • Design and implement standardized operational dashboards to provide Top Management with real-time visibility into plant performance.

3. Continuous Improvement of Culture & Lean Leadership

  • Lead the cultural transformation across factories by coaching, mentoring, and embedding Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen practices at all organizational levels.
  • Establish structured problem-solving frameworks (e.g., Root Cause Analysis, 5 Why's, Fishbone) to proactively resolve recurring operational disruptions.
  • Develop and facilitate continuous improvement training programs to empower shop-floor operators and shift supervisors.

4. Reporting & Stakeholder Management

  • Prepare high-quality data driven report. Presentations and complex financial/operational models (Excel) for business reviews.
  • Coordinate with Plant Managers and Head Office leadership to align operational excellence strategies with AIG's corporate goals.
  • Travel extensively between AIG's various manufacturing sites and headquarters to audit processes and drive standardization.

Others: Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by the AIG CEO or BODs.

Requirements

  • Industrial engineering – polytechnic university
  • 5 - 7 years experience working in Food & Beverage manufacturing
  • Proven track records of working with OEE database, MFG Conversion cost database, Kaizen practices
  • Experience involving with automation projects is a PLUS
  • Positive mindset and eagerness to learn is a MUST
  • Fluent working with PPT, Excel
  • Ready to extensive travelling
