He/she covers the functions of Seed Operations & drives Operations performance and development in Vietnam to support the business current needs and future growth.

Duties, Responsibilities & Scope

Principal duties and responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise seed processing operations such as seed selection, seed treatment, packaging and labelling, and inventory management in alignment with company's process and standards
  • Lead the conversation with other functions to ensure/enhance the accuracy and effectiveness of supply chain planning activities, via monthly S&OP meetings for example.
  • Manage effective stock levels
  • Ensure seed deliveries OTIF
  • Enhance safety and productivity in daily operations
  • Identify potential risks and address them in a proactive manner
    • People and organization development
      • Through seniority and expertise, support the development of the teams

(coaching, one to ones, trainings etc) with the support of HR
      • Support implementation of organizational changes
      • Lead by example in deploying all programmes. Drive the TACT principles of the company & develop a cohesive & efficient team.
    • Tools and methods, included Operational Excellence
      • Deploy (create) regional and global programs
      • Deploy Operational Excellence program and Safety in Operations program
      • Bring and deploy expertise and methods to the team (project management,

business case approach)
      • To create continuous improvement with adjacent functions, together with his Supply Chain peers, ensures that a performance system is in place around plant stakeholders (in line with HMC Operations perf system), while the operational part is done by plant team.
      • Propose and help prioritizing key improvement projects
    • Mid to long term goals and KPIs
      • Define Vietnam manufacturing goals and help reaching those goals
      • Develop action plans that result in significant improvement in efficiency, cost savings & productivity
    • Transversal
      • Drive or support large change projects
      • Run overall capacity analysis and capacity planning in Vietnam, contribute to the S&OP process
      • Manage the OPEX & CAPEX. Analyse the data & bring in improvements in efficiency & cost savings.
      • Identify and support key technical projects
      • Diagnose and build technical MTP, in line with business needs and global manufacturing strategy.
      • Develop relevant synergies between plants and teams
      • Foster synergies and manufacturing benchmark align standards
      • Leverage his own expertise and individual expertise
