You will be part of SMG Real Estate Engineering, a remote-friendly department of 80+ engineers located in four countries (Switzerland, Serbia, Germany & Vietnam)
Job Description
What will you do:
As a mobile engineer at SMG, you'll play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of our real estate application, ensuring it delivers a premium experience across Android and/or iOS platforms. Your responsibilities will include:
- Feature implementation: Collaborate with the product team to design and implement new app features that meet user needs and align with SMG's business goals. This involves integrating with backend services, optimizing performance, and ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Quality assurance support: Assist in developing testing frameworks and conducting tests to ensure the app meets our rigorous quality standards. Work closely with QA teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
- User feedback integration: Monitor user feedback and app performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. Contribute to the iteration of app features and enhancements based on user data and feedback.
- Collaborative development: Work within a cross-functional team, contributing to the brainstorming of ideas, solving complex challenges, and sharing knowledge and insights to drive project success.
- Continuous learning: Stay aligned with the latest developments in mobile app technologies and practices. Actively seek to improve your skills and knowledge through ongoing learning and professional development.
- Ad-hoc tasks and collaboration: Be ready to tackle additional tasks that support the app's success and collaborate with other teams as needed to contribute to broader company objectives.
Qualifications
Your skills and experiences:
- Fluency in English written and verbal communication.
- A degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- A solid foundation in mobile app development with a proven track record of delivering high-quality applications.
- Strong understanding of mobile app lifecycle, architecture, and standard user interface elements.
- Proficient in Swift for core application logic and experienced with SwiftUI for building responsive and state-driven user interfaces.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs to connect applications to back-end services.
- Understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
- Competence in handling performance tuning and memory management.
- Ability to take ownership of projects and work with minimal direction.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform well in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work within a cross-functional team.
- Ability to articulate technical challenges and solutions to both technical and non-technical team members.
- Proven track record of managing time efficiently, meeting deadlines, and prioritizing workload.
- Be passionate about technology, eager to learn, and driven to contribute to a dynamic and creative team.
