Job Description

This role sits in Northern Vietnam

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Own the on-time delivery of high quality and efficient manufacturing lines (FATP/SMT) supporting ModRetro New Product Development cycles.
  • Ownership over key manufacturing metrics including manufacturing throughput, yield, quality, performance, cost, and readiness from new product introduction (NPI) phase through EOL to drive manufacturing performance to world class levels
  • Collaborate with engineering in design for assembly exercises to ensure design supports manufacturing processes
  • Develop manufacturing test plans with engineering org to ensure product quality, yield targets and support deployment to factory operations
  • Collaborate with contract manufacturing partners to develop and deploy standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure proper product assembly
  • Engage with external and internal engineering on new product engineering builds to meet shared objectives with responsibility for process development, assembly fixtures, equipment DFM, technical program management from technical operations and manufacturing perspective.
  • Triage build issues with MIL tracking
  • Create tools and processes to evaluate contract manufacturing performance ensuring manufacturing processes are robustly controlled
  • Upleveling key program risks, mitigations, and opportunities for improvement discovered during development to company leadership on a weekly basis

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS or MS in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field.
  • 7+ years of hardware engineering experience in consumer electronics, hardware, or electromechanical products.
  • Experience program managing International Contract Manufacturing partners

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience at a high-volume consumer electronics company or consumer electronics startup.
  • Experience leading manufacturing objectives at the system and SMT level (L6 / ICT5 equivalent scope).
  • Demonstrated knowledge/experience in failure analysis tools/methodologies
  • Six Sigma or similar quality/reliability certification.
