Job Description
The role of Talent Acquisition is to identify and recruit top talent for Manulife Vietnam in a highly competitive employment marketplace. As a member of the Talent Acquisition team your mission will be to provide recruitment subject matter expertise to proactively identify, attract, evaluate and onboard top talent. This role has a critical responsibility in ensuring Manulife Vietnam maintains its strong business results and achieves its strategic objectives by recruiting and retaining strong candidates to the firm. What you will do:

  • Proactively hunt for talent by utilizing an online and offline multi-channel approach with heavy emphasis on social media engagement, networking at career/industry events, and headhunting individuals identified through research and referral.

  • Create and execute strategic sourcing plans to attract strong passive and active talent to fill open positions.

  • Develop an understanding of future talent requirements and succession gaps to ensure a healthy pipeline of high potential for must win battles

  • Partner with lines of business and functional leaders as a talent acquisition subject matter expert to ensure that recruitment processesare executed efficiently and maximize talent market visibility to result in high caliber hires

  • Critically assess candidates using behavioral based interviewing techniques in order to ensure high quality talent is shortlisted and selected

  • Drive the candidate selection process and ensure managers have the tools needed to select the most qualified candidate. Ensure that candidate assessment tools are used effectively to identify the right talent and lower first year turnover of new hires

  • Stay current on recruitment trends, market changes and talent opportunities by maintaining and enhancing a network of external contacts as well as participating in industry events and professional associations

  • Understand the requirement for gender balanced interview slates, the benefits of hiring a diverse workforce, be able to explain this to your stakeholders to ensure buy in, and clearly demonstrate efforts to achieve gender diversity targets

  • Ensure all recruitment processes are fair, equitable and comply with all relevant local government regulations as well as global recruitment policies

  • Champion internal mobility by ensuring transparency in the recruitment and selection process and drive awareness of career development opportunities

  • Build a sustainable social media presence and develop a strong digital profile to position yourself as an Manulife EVP Brand Ambassador to effectively hunt for passive talent and successfully sell Manulife career opportunities

  • Focus on improving the quality of candidate and hiring manager interactions through the recruitment process to ensure a positive customer experience to support net promoter aspirations

  • Efficient recruiting administration of process and procedures with real time updating of data related to the screening, interviewing and onboarding of candidates to ensure the accuracy of recruitment reporting

  • Coach managers on the recruiting process, interview techniques and selection criteria to improve the quality of candidates shortlisted and hired

What you will need:

  • University degree education with at least 5 years of experience in managing high volume end to end recruitment processes for professional positions in a corporate multinational environment

  • A demonstrated ability to hunt for talent in the external market place using multiple sourcing channels including social media and social networking to identify, engage and inspire passive talent

  • Ability to consult with internal and external customers to provide effective recruitment solutions

  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills to be able to create a compelling narrative and sell the employee value proposition

  • Strong influencing and relationship management skills related to engagement with internal and external customers, HR stakeholders, team members and external vendor partners

  • Demonstrated ability to navigate a complex and dynamic business environment with multiple and shifting priorities

  • Customer centric attitude and a sense of execution urgency balanced with an eye for detail and respect for data integrity

  • Able to work independently and proactively, as well as be a team player when required supporting on local initiatives and regional HR projects

  • Demonstrated project management capabilities and familiarity with pulling together reports and presentations utilizing excel and PowerPoint skills
