In the Enterprise Commercial sales team, we are looking for Industry Advisors with a passion for being thought leaders on WW industry ecosystems and delivering industry-focused sales for Microsoft, developing and winning market-making opportunities that deliver customer value and enable transformational customer outcomes. As an Industry Advisor you will be the industry subject matter expert in digital business transformation, engaging with senior business decision makers to identify, generate and nurture new business opportunities through industry priority scenarios. You will articulate and position strategic business value and long-term positive results of using Microsoft's products and solutions, collaborating with your peers to successfully close deals. Key areas of responsibility:
  • Position big bold ideas with customer that impact commercial success and close large, multi-year, market-making digital transformation partnerships and wins leading to accelerated growth of Microsoft's Industry clouds.
  • Accelerate demand generation with customer- leverage senior BDM relationships (C-suite, LOB leaders) Deliver net new multi-horizon incremental revenue/pipeline and Azure consumption.
  • Incubate new opportunities for Microsoft across Azure, Modern Work, Business Applications and Security that evidence positioning of Industry Priority Scenarios.
  • Support ideation and envisioning, enterprise level strategic discussions with customers centered on business solutions with CxO/LOB stakeholders.
  • Deliver Operational Excellence, manage and optimize time spent collaborating with customers and lead orchestration with core account team to realize value by exceeding customers expectations.


key capabilities required:
  • 12+ years experience working in an industry (fsi, telcos, retails, manufacturing, energy...), driving digital transformation, or other relevant work experience (e.g., consulting, technology)

  • prior work experience at a business strategy consulting (mckinsey, accenture, eds, kpmg or the equivalent) or at a competing cloud and technology company (oracle, ibm, sap, salesforce.com, vmware, cisco, amazon, google or equivalent) preferred.

additional or preferred qualifications :
  • bachelor's degree in business, technology, or related field and 7+ years of experience working in an industry
  • or master's degree in business administration degree and 5+ years experience working in an industry
  • 3+ years people management/ leadership experience
