Overall Role Purpose
To drive and develop Vietnam Countrywide Operations to be best in class. To deliver operational excellence, deliver new business implementations and go lives, plus organic business growth. Whilst maintaining & enhancing business relationships with the customers and to lead the responsible Operational and Commercial Management teams. Ensuring they are carrying out effective management of Resources, Performance, Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment, Quality, and Budgets. In addition, driving Account Management Excellence (AME) through Operational Ownership.
  • Can strategize and organize resources effectively to deliver consistently strong performances and maintain the strong customer relationships.
  • Focus on developing people to deliver business objectives and ensure investment in training and succession planning.
  • Strong financial management and delivery of operational results to delight the customer and ensure continuous over delivery of results, both internally and for the customer.
  • Profitably grow existing business within the DHL portfolio, developing strategies to leverage existing business relationships
  • Be responsible and lead proactively the contract renewal process with existing customers. Seek out new opportunities that enhance DHL's brand within customer responsibilities.

Customer / Stakeholder
  • Be accountable to his/her direct superior for the delivery of strategic business results and work to deliver innovative projects in order to delight the customer
  • Provides support and coordination to peers on the implementation of company policies, programs and initiatives. Must be the morale upstanding individual to manage all effectively.
  • Drives AME within all operations, seeking out new opportunities and leveraging shared resources where possible.
  • Develops and maintains partnership and relations with existing customers.

Problem Complexity / Process
  • Plans, directs and coordinates the logistics operations activities in the areas of responsibility
  • Works closely with customers and direct superior in budget planning, ensuring strong budgets and financial tracking ensure positive results for customer and DHL.
  • Lead role in all new business operational implementations, leveraging experience and knowledge to minimize any business disruption.
  • Oversees all customer accounts of responsibility to ensure that his/her management teams provide excellent levels of service in logistics operations. Consistent emphasis on continuous improvement.
  • Identifies where the services to customers should be improved , then develops and implements initiatives and processes for logistics management within overall areas of responsibility. This needs to be cascaded through the organization.
  • Identifies and analyzes logistics problems in areas of responsibility and develops solutions to enhance operations, and over deliver on targets.
  • Accounts for the effective use of resources, ensuring your areas of responsibility keep within approved financial agreements internally

People Management
  • Oversees the overall people processes to ensure compliance with Human Resources policies
  • Develops performance targets and goals and evaluates performances against those targets and goals
  • Provides management leadership and inspirational motivation to all staff within the areas of responsibility.
  • Identifies training and development needs through DHL people management processes.

Expected years of experience (Minimum)
  • Minimum 10 - 15 years experience in logistics management
  • Background of customer relationship management

Expected Educational Qualifications
  • Bachelors / Master's Degree in any field
