VINPEARL IS LOOKING FOR GENERAL MANAGER (EXPAT)

We are looking for General Manager, a high caliber leader to lead in creating the ultimate 5 star guest experience for our hotels & resorts. The ideal candidate is expected to have an excellent track record of successfully managing and leading a high performance team to sustained high levels of service.

The position holder will be also be responsible for organizing and implementing quality control to ensure all Head of Departments work properly and sufficiently towards ramping up top line revenues for the company through sales initiatives, revenue management. At the same time complying with all the standards, regulations and SOPs of the company.

Area of responsibilities:

  • On-site Sales & Marketing: Organize the implementation of sales on site to achieve assigned targets;
  • Reservation: Monitor reservation activities in the property accordance with company policies;
  • Front Office (reception, customer service):Be present at busy spots during peak hours to check the service quality, especially VIP guests;
  • Food & Beverages: Ensure food quality, decoration, sound, lighting, food hygiene and safety are accordance with approved standard;
  • Housekeeping: Monitor the dcor, plants, interior furniture to ensure the 5-star look and feel in all areas, especially in the lobby and restaurants;
  • Engineering: Conduct random check the condition and quality of frontline technical systems;
  • Security & Safety: Closely monitor the fire safety systems, rescue team and conduct training regularly for other HODs to raise their awareness of security and safety;
  • Landscaping: Pay attention to plants/ tree size;
  • Transport & Recreation: Monitor closely transport time and vehicle quality to ensure 5-star service quality. Cooperate with Head Office to develop a list of recreational activities, develop service standards and control the service quality of the hotel.

What you have:

  • Bachelor degree and/or above in hotel/business management or equivalent;
  • Have at least 10 years of experience in hospitality, including 02-03 years in the same position at 5 star hotels/resorts;
  • Having experience in All inclusive business model is a plus;
  • Good organizational skills, problem solving, analytical and negotiation skills;
  • Good English communication skills (listening, speaking, writing);
  • Good decision making and leadership skills;
  • People management and development skills.
