With data growth proliferating, it is becoming paramount for data infrastructure to efficiently scale. Our SSD controllers integrate our best-in-class NANDEdge programmable error correction coding IP to enable multiple generations of NAND technology and maximize power-performance across client, edge, enterprise, and cloud data center markets.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of 6+ designers to define the micro-architecture, RTL implementation of designs for our high-performance SSD controller and accelerator products.
  • Work with IP/SoC architecture to create engineering response for marketing requests.
  • Work with IP/SoC architecture to define micro-architecture meeting PPA requirements.
  • Perform RTL coding based on MAS using best RTL coding practices and integrate the RTL into the IP/SoC.
  • Perform design review, code review, and apply tools to formally check/fix RTL against various design rules.
  • Work with the verification team to define verification strategy, test-plan, analyze and sign-of verification coverage.
  • Cooperate with Synthesis, DFT, STA, PnR to implement subsystems that meet challenging PPA requirements.
  • Support Emulation, FPGA prototype, functional ATE, and silicon validation teams.
  • Contribute to the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the design flow.
  • Makes decisions for talent management activities including hiring, assessing, rewarding, retaining, and developing engineers.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields and 12+ years of related professional experience.
  • Proven experience with people manager
  • Proven track record of digital IP design from concept to successful ASIC/SoC project TOs.
  • Very familiar with digital IC design methodologies, understand all stages of ASIC design flows, and experienced with state-of-the-art design tools.
  • Experience with evaluating and integrating 3rd party IPs from leading providers.
  • Hands-on behavioral and RTL coding experience, Verilog/SV preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of verification methodology, logic synthesis, DFT, and timing analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and out-of-the-box thinking to oversee design failures.
  • Very good at documentation and communication skills using English.
  • Experiences in PCIe (Gen4/Gen5) IF, NVMe, ARM-Core, AXI Bus Interconnect, is a big plus.
  • Experiences in Formal verification and DDR4/DDR5 IF is a big plus
  • Experiences in Ethernet/SRAM/USB/SAS/SATA IF is a plus.
  • Experiences in UVM verification methodology is a plus
