Key Responsibilities
- Credit Application Review: Receive and review unsecured loan applications from SMEs, ensuring all submitted documents are complete, authentic, and compliant.
- Financial & Non-Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of applicants financial statements (e.g., Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement) to evaluate their operational performance, profitability, and debt-servicing capacity. Concurrently, perform a comprehensive assessment of non-financial factors, including the business owner's credit history, industry outlook, and operational stability.
- Credit & Data Verification: Query and analyze third-party data, including credit reports of the enterprise and its legal representative/major shareholders, business registration information, legal records, tax data, and bank statements to identify potential risks.
- Risk Assessment & Decision Making: Following established approval procedures, risk policies, and scorecard models, assist in risk assessment, communicate internally and externally within the authorized scope, and maintain proper documentation as required by the process.
- Credit Memo Preparation: Write clear and concise approval recommendations (credit memos), detailing the basis for the risk assessment, the rationale behind the decision, and key risk control points.
- Cross-Departmental Communication: Maintain effective communication with business development teams and partners to provide feedback and collaborate on issues such as requests for supplementary materials and client information verification.
- Post-Loan Monitoring Support: Support the post-loan management team by periodically monitoring the operational status of approved loans and providing early-warning risk alerts.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in SME credit, personal business loans, or a related risk approval role at a bank, consumer finance company, micro credit company, or FinTech firm. Experience with unsecured loan approval processes is highly preferred.
- Solid financial analysis skills, with the ability to independently interpret and analyze corporate financial statements.
- Fluent in both written and spoken Chinese and Vietnamese, with the ability to use both for professional business communication.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English is a plus.
- Familiarity with common third-party data sources in the Vietnamese market (e.g., business registration, tax, judicial records).
- Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to articulate complex risk issues clearly.
- Proficient in the MS Office suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- In-depth knowledge of the business models and risk characteristics of SMEs in specific industries (e.g., trading, services, manufacturing).
