The job holder is to support the Head of Corporate Actuarial in all aspects of corporate actuarial work, particularly those that pertain to EV reporting basis, methodology and reporting. Help ensure that actuarial activities are in line with sound actuarial principles and standards, statutory requirements, and the company's goals, objectives, standards and requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Review and coordinate the preparation of various actuarial and financial reports required by Prudential Group, Regulator and internal management. Act as first point of contact for basic queries relating to those reports. /
  • Work closely with Finance function on financial reporting and budgeting and forecasting /
  • Play an active role in the business planning & forecasting process. Monitor subsequent performance against plan, identifying and explaining areas of divergence /
  • Monitor movements in NBP and EV key KPIs on a monthly basis. /
  • Ensure EV and Financial KPI results, processes and procedures are sound, accurate and fully documented. In particular ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, Group standards and actuarial principles /
  • Build up and enhance financial KPI and actuarial analytics reports with future-ready platform (Power BI, Jira, Confluence, )/ Tham gia xy dng v nng cp cc h thng bo co ch tiu ti chnh v phn tch d liu nh ph trn cc nn tng cng ngh mi (Power BI, Jira, Confluence, ).

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of staff members, providing instructions and guidance on work related matters, and managing their performance to agreed standards /
  • Provide coaching to junior staff on actuarial concepts & techniques, and ensure that all staffs receive sufficient training and career development /
  • Others: to be assigned by the Line manager or Company's management (if any) /

- Finance, Risk, Claims, Strategic Planning, Local Reporting, Product Actuarial etc. /

- Group, Reinsurers, Auditors etc. /

  • University degree in a major with significant exposure to actuarial, finance, mathematics and/or statistics. /
  • At least ASA level or equal and keep studying towards to get the actuarial Fellow qualification / Ti thiu t cp ASA hoc tng ng v vn t

Experiences /

  • At least 6 years of relevant actuarial experience in a life insurance company, with experience in multiple aspects of actuarial work, with particular on financial reporting and business planning. /
  • Having relevant supervisory or mentoring responsibilities, and must have exhibited good project management skills/
  • Experience in leading, training and coaching junior actuarial staff for at least 2 years/

Knowledge and skill / Kin thc v k nng

  • Extensive actuarial and insurance knowledge learned from both examinations and job experience./
  • Understanding of the dynamics of an insurance company and how the actuarial functions relate to this/
  • High analytical skill/
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision /
  • Strong leadership, project management, coaching and mentoring skills/
