Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, other relevant or comparable degrees may be considered based on work history, qualifications and experience.
15-20+ years’ experience in construction and project management.
Professional Licenses or engineering designation is desirable, i.e., PE or PMP.
Extensive construction experience with management and delivery of major metro, railway, tunnel.
Experience with procurement methods, i.e. design/build, design, bid, build etc. and knowledge of the contractual relationships and forms of contract.
Experience in developing strategy for personnel development, career mentorship and recruitment of high quality people.
Demonstrated experience in the management and deliver of projects in excess of $100M required.
Responsive to the owner/client contractor dynamic and able to resolve issues quickly and equitably when appropriate.
Experience working on multiple concurrent commissions, and representing the company to clients.
Experience using computer analysis programs commonly used in construction management projects.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Knowledge of government regulations, legislation, standards, safety regulations and procedures.
Sound judgement; effective organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills including technical report writing skills and excellent presentation skills;
Demonstrated ability to work with multi-discipline technical teams, deal with issues and maintain effective working relationships.
Excellent organizational ability capable of planning, organizing and leading project teams in the delivery and documentation of project requirements for transit, highways, water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Demonstrated experience with client engagement and development, proposal preparation, marketing strategy, and client interviews which lead to new contracts.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams of senior, intermediate and junior engineers.
